DataPhysics Instruments has demonstrated how the MultiScan MS 20 stability analysis system provides rapid and objective insights into the stability of pesticide formulations.
In a recent study, a liquid pesticide dispersion was monitored over just 2 hours and 12 minutes using the MS 20’s transmission and backscattering analysis.
While transmission remained constant due to sample turbidity, backscattering revealed clear destabilisation processes. The results showed initial agglomeration (flocculation) across the sample, followed by the formation of a creaming layer at the top.
Thanks to the MS 20’s advanced MSC software, even subtle changes in particle behaviour were detected and quantified. This capability enables producers to anticipate long‑term stability issues early, ensuring time‑ and cost‑efficient product development.
By delivering fast, reliable data on dispersion stability, the MS 20 supports industries working with pesticides, emulsions, and dispersions in developing safer, more sustainable formulations.
